When grouped with others:
When grouping with people outside the guild, loot distribution should be discussed when the group starts, so disputes can be avoided. Be the bigger person and share loot that groupmates might need even if they are in a different guild. It shows that our guild respects other players and cares about others in our community. Remember to turn on the Need only on items you can use option in the party options.


When grouping/raiding with the guild:
1. Our loot policy is based on 4 main concepts:
- Need before greed.
- Follow appropriate loot etiquette at all levels with mains or alts.
- The strength of the many is more important that the strength of the few.
- We want to fairly balance the casual players and the dedicated hardcore players.

2. No system is 100% fair, but HILYMI does a very good job of sharing the wealth. Loot is a sensitive topic. If you disagree with a decision or have any comments about awards made please use a PM. Do not make comments in /raid or /guildsay and take away the thrill for the person receiving the loot. Be happy for the "brother" or "sister" who received the award. Your time will come.

3. Never use the raid channel for general chatter, it is for the raid leaders and their support group only to give instruction and tactics. This goes equally for ventrilo. During a raid, keep the "air" clean so raid leadership can issue direction. Take general conversations to tells or /guild.

4. We as a guild have very generous and helpful healers. Generally if there is a way for them to help us with a res without putting their group in danger they will. Please be courteous. Ask in party, warband, or send a tell but do not spam. Be prepared to release upon full healer wipe. Do not expect healers to do a corpse run and resurrect you.

5. When another member hands you an upgrade to equipment etc. please remember that when you get similar items that aren't an upgrade. It should be offered to the one who gave it to you before you consider selling it. If they in turn say "no thanks" then do with it as you will, feel free to do so. Basically help others if you've been helped with equipment and trickle down the love.

6. Please refrain from excess use of local chat and shouts, especially when rival guilds are in the zone. Profanity, arguments, or taunts are considered bad form by HILYMI and most of the gaming community in general.


Guild Vaults and Funding
In general, the guild vault is a voluntary system where we store items to share with members. Members are encouraged to both donate an take from the vault. Event if you don't donate, we encourage members to utilize the vault for gearing up your main characters. We've put a lot of effort into stocking and keeping the vault stocked and we hate to see it go to waste.

Guild Tax - 50%, may fluctuate between 25% to 50% depending on vault balance.
Guild Tithe - Optional, up to the member to choose to Tithe
Deposit Gold - Everyone
Deposit All Vaults - Everyone
Withdraw Vault 1* - Everyone - Any green equipment item regardless of level and any blue equipment item that is level 1-29, medium quality green talismans
Withdraw Vault 2* - Members - Level 31-40 blues & 1-30 gold equipment, high quality green & blue dyes & talismans, and hybrid potions
Withdraw Vault 3 & 4** - Officers - Level 31-40 purple & gold equipment (Annihilator, Sentinel, Conquerer, Dark Promise, etc.), level 200 seeds, purple dyes & talismans, blue & purple level 200 tradeskill items, other special misc items
Withdraw Gold** - Officers
Claim Keeps*** - Officers

* Marmot is in charge of the vault as guild Treasury officer. He will be maintaining the order of the bank and selling off and/or distributing stuff to make room for more needed items.
** If you need an item from the officer's bank, please let an officer know and they will distribute.
*** Only officers and officer alts can claim battlefield objectives since it draws money from the guild bank (Ex. T4 Keeps are 10g an hour)

This policy has been updated as more of a general warband / loot etiquette than from before which it was previously just a very light loot policy.
